This episode was speaking with Anthony Cook, a coordinator of college and career counseling and biracial man who shared much of his life in a truly vulnerable way. Anthony touched upon his upbringing with his parents' struggles within their relationship, his father's drug addiction and behaviors, trying to figure out one's cultural identity, and trying to become a better man and father in his own right.

Exploring identity and how those cultural differences shape us as well as how not being accepted by one's family and cultural community can play significant roles in how we see ourselves. Despite all of this, Anthony has found a way to persevere through it all and has continued to leverage his story and personal experiences to elevate young men and women in the school district where he currently works in.
