On Feb 23rd of this year two Georgia men were caught on video shooting the unarmed Arbery as he went for a jog. The two men claim they were chasing Ahmaud Arbery because they suspect him to be the man behind a series of burglaries in the area, but local police reported that the last break-in was nearly two months before the shooting. The last known break-in was dated as far back as Jan. 1st 2020 more than 7 weeks before the the Feb. 23rd shooting of Mr. Arbery.
