Long Description
I discuss the importance and benefits of practicing gratitude in all of our relationships, with ourselves, with our spouse, with our families, with our friends, with our bosses and our employees, with our customers, with our neighbors, and with other people, we come in contact with as we navigate our day. There are health benefits and mindset benefits that improve success. Expressing gratitude sets us in the right direction to enjoy the gifts coming in the day. I am a huge believer in the practice of gratitude and believe that it is an important pillar for our health. Adding gratitude to your daily ritual, either first thing in the morning or last thing at night (or both), will make a positive improvement in your health and your life. Our minds create experiences based on what our mind finds possible. If what we find possible are goodness and positive experiences, we automatically create more during that day and then into the future. How does gratitude work? By celebrating what is good in our lives and focusing every morning on the things that we are grateful for, we set our mind in the right direction for the day, and by acknowledging the good in our lives, we have a more positive outlook, and we manifest more good things. We need to affirm that there are good things in the world, gifts, and benefits we've received. Grateful Living is supported by daily practices, tools, habits of mind, and behaviors that can be learned, translated, and applied to many aspects of our lives. It is also nourished in the community and in our relationships. Gratitude needs to be an active verb. Not only do we need to recognize what is good in our lives, but we need to share it. It should be a win, win, win. We need to let our spouse, our family, our pets, our co-workers, our bosses, our customers, our suppliers, and our neighbors all know that we see them, we appreciate them, and we are grateful for them. Other people are attracted to a positive attitude and to people who appreciate who they are and what they do. Small, grateful acts every day can uplift us, make a difference for others, and help change the world. https://www.facebook.com/cherylmhealtmuse
Producer's Note
This was the first podcast recorded at KGEM the studio of Community Media of the Foothills in Monrovia California. You will notice that multiple cameras were used and the editing was initially done by KGEM staff. We added graphics to the original. The rest of the videos were made with a single camera to make it simpler for me to edit. Cheryl hosted and I produced 108 videos in the two channels over the span of three years and during the COVID 19 period of isolation. Enjoy watching
