I am a huge believer in the practice of gratitude and believe that it is an important pillar for our health. This podcast is a replay, a special edition, of the first podcast I did on VoiceAmerica.tv.
Adding gratitude to your daily ritual, either first thing in the morning or last thing at night (or both), will improve your health and life. Our minds create experiences based on what our mind finds possible. If what we find possible are goodness and positive experiences, we automatically create more during that day and then into the future.
How does gratitude work?
By celebrating what is good in our lives, and focusing every morning on the things that we are grateful for, we set our minds in the right direction for the day, and by acknowledging the good in our lives, we have a more positive outlook, and we manifest more good things.
We must affirm that there are good things in the world, gifts, and benefits we've received.
Grateful Living is supported by daily practices, tools, habits of mind, and behaviors that can be learned, translated, and applied to many aspects of our lives. It is also nourished in community and relationships.
Gratitude needs to be an active verb. Not only do we need to recognize what is good in our lives, but we need to share it. It should be a win, win, win. We need to let our spouses, our family, our pets, our co-workers, our bosses, our customers, our suppliers, and our neighbors all know that we see them, appreciate them, and are grateful for them.
Other people are attracted to a positive attitude and people who appreciate who they are and what they do.
Small, grateful acts every day can uplift us, make a difference for others, and help change the world.
There are health benefits and mindset benefits that improve success. Expressing gratitude sets us in the right direction to enjoy the gifts coming in the day.
