In 1 Chronicles 17 & 18, David seeks out Nathan the prophet to consult him regarding building a Temple for the Lord. Nathan responds quickly with a Yeah, sure! God is clearly with you, do what you want. BUT, that was not God's plan or will. God corrected Nathan that evening and Nathan was humble enough to both receive the correction needed from God as well as correct the information that David really needed to hear for God's plans for the current time and space as well as for His eternal Kingdom. This is the kind of leadership God wants to see and the kind of leadership people want to be led by. We need to be quick to listen with our two ears and slow to speak with our one mouth. We need to stop, pray about things, and seek the face of God routinely. We need to be humble, repentant, and open to correction. God doesn't belong in a box. He is not shut in the churches, buildings, or conferences. He is with us ALWAYS and we are meant to be in constant continuous prayer and communication with Him as He leads and guides our steps, and most importantly our words, for His grand plan of His eternal Kingdom. God is with us everywhere we go. We need to respect, honor, and reflect Him wherever we are, in whatever we are doing, and in everything we say. He is Lord of all.
