In 1 Chronicles 2, the chronicler takes us further through the lineage and genealogy of Christ. This chapter transitions from the descendants of Abraham to the descendants of Jacob who fathered the nation of Israel. Key people who continued the Seed of Christ forward are listed as well as core groups of people and individuals who played important parts in pointing people to our Messiah. The lineage of Jesus didn't just include His lineage, it includes the people who played important roles in God's mighty overall plan which is still continuing today. Parents, sisters, scribes, craftsman, and more are all listed in detail. Never take for granted the gifts, talents, and roles God has put us in. His plan is still coming forth and He knows what He's doing. We continue to trust in Him, remain dedicated to the eternal mission of spreading His Gospel, and passionately serve the Lord in all we do and say. Day in and day out, we are each called and commissioned to point people to Jesus using the gifts and talents that God gave us to do it for His eternal Kingdom and the glory of our almighty Father.
