Description

In 1 Chronicles 22, we see, once again, David's heart for the Lord and giving Him all glory and honor. David desired a Temple for God, but God's desire was not for David to build it. Through the Lord's direction and in faithful confidence in God, David was able to give Solomon everything that would be needed to complete a Temple to point people to worship, glorify, and honor God in every way. In faith, David encouraged Solomon and made sure he understood the Temple was to be built to honor and glorify God and God alone. He reminded Solomon of God's faithfulness and that this was His will and He was able to hand over to Solomon every last detail that would be needed to build God's Temple. David was not perfect by any means, but He was repentant and humble. Even in handing off the details for his dream of God's Temple, his only concern was that the name of the Lord be glorified.
