In 1 Chronicles 23 & 24, the division, organization and duties of the Levites and priests were delegated. David knew the ministers of the Temple had to be organized and prepared according to God's direction. He left nothing to chance and made sure everything was addressed. He wanted to ensure all would be done for God orderly and seamlessly. David wasn't after an office or position merely being filled. He wanted to ensure every position filled was done so to serve the Lord and God's people passionately and sincerely. He was ensuring the blueprint for God's ultimate plan is clear and completely understood for the glory of God and God alone. Today we are part of God's plan. He has a role and a purpose and a mission for each of our lives to be used for His glory and the expansion of His eternal Kingdom. We are the living stones of the Holy Spirit. David committed the plan for the Temple to the Lord and today, we can choose to commit our lives - our plans - to the Lord and let His plan unfold in and through our lives. Just as each servant was important to the Temple, each servant of God is just as important today. God wants His Kingdom full and that means we need to be all in. We need to lay our "selves" down and stay on mission for Jesus. It's the only mission that truly matters.
