In 1 Chronicles 29, David hands the kingdom over to his son, Solomon. David delighted in God first and foremost and worshiped wholeheartedly out of his devotion to God. He ends his reign as king by giving God glory, honor, praise, and thanksgiving. He not only left Solomon with a blessing of encouragement, all the materials needed to build the Temple of God for God's glory, as well as the hands and manpower needed to build it - he also left real life examples of how to worship God with all your guts. He put God before all else and God honored his faithfulness greatly.
