In 1 Chronicles 7, the Chronicler takes us through the genealogy of Issachar, Benjamin, Naphtali, Manasseh, Ephraim, and Asher. After exile from Babylon, the Israelites would still face battles and wars so God provided warriors within the clans. Both men and women are highlighted in these Scriptures and God has plans and wants to use all of us for His story and His glory. The focal point of this chapter is the fact that we will face battles and when you know a battle is coming, you prepare warriors. Our own opinions or preferences don't matter. All that matters is that we realize we are to join together in the love and unity of Christ because we all share the same enemy. The principalities of Satan are trying to defeat us and the only way we will be victorious over him is by coming together, united, against our common enemy. Jesus said the world would know us by our love for God and our unity together in John 17. We need to surround ourselves with prayer warriors, people who love the Word of God, and people who chase after God with all their guts.
