Description

In 1 Chronicles 8, we travel through the genealogy of the tribe of Benjamin - again. Why? Because when Israel split, some of the tribe went north and some when south and there's something God wants us to see in this. After exile, there was a part of the Benjamin tribe that stayed loyal to Judah and stood firm in their faith in God and they were counted among the returning faithful remnant. The tribe of Benjamin had a long history of contention and struggles within the tribe - just as we have the constant contention and struggle between the spirit and the flesh. The Benjaminites struggled with who they were, but those who remained with Judah saw the hope of the future in Christ. Just because we come from an unstable families doesn't mean that's who we are. You are who God says you are and if you choose to repent from selfishness and choose Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are a child of God. You are victorious through Him. God has plans and purposes to be fulfilled through our lives and gave us amazing talents and gifts to be used to fulfill them glorifying God and His Kingdom. When you choose to submit your life to Christ, your identity is now in Christ and He has declared some pretty incredible things about who you are.
