In 2 Chronicles 13 & 14, we see what happens when you choose to trust God. Abijah trusted God faithfully and God honored his faithfulness and gave him victory in the battle. Asa was king for 41 years and for 10 of those years there was total peace in the land because Asa chose to trust God completely - heart and soul - and followed His ways. Under Asa's rule, the nation faced an intense battle and were outnumbered greatly, but Asa remained un-shook. He stood firm in faith in God. He went into battle expecting God to help in the battle and God did indeed bring the victory. Asa testified to the nation that no mortal could stand against God. He declared His confidence in God's supremacy and asked God to help them in their weakness - emphasizing their reliance was totally on Him. If we put our faith and trust in God, He fights for us. Life isn't always easy, but it's a whole lot easier when God is in every step of the battles we face. It's a whole lot easier when we choose to trust His love, trust His might, and trust His goodness. When we choose Jesus for life, He is our advocate. He is our refuge. He is our strength and He will never leave us. Through Jesus, the battle has already be won and we can walk in His victory. We can choose to be un-shook and not waiver in our faith no matter what our circumstances look like. We can choose to stand firm and say, even if everything around me looks sideways and upside down, I will choose to look up and serve the Lord almighty because I know He has me, He holds me, and He will carry me through it all and straight to Him.
