Description

In 2 Chronicles 9 & 10, we see a huge contrast in what it looks like to follow and honor God in your life versus what it looks like to follow the advice of the foolish. The Queen of Sheba paid a visit to Solomon before the kingdom was passed on to his son Rehoboam. She was blown away by all that God had blessed Solomon with - both in wisdom and the material blessings. Rehoboam, however, allowed greed and pride to influence his actions and he ended up causing a complete division of the nation. Following God's direction and remaining faithful to His lead in every step leads to Him honoring our faithfulness. He wants His Kingdom full so He wants to pour out provisions to make it happen. He wants to use us for His glory, His story, and His eternal Kingdom expansion. Rather than trusting and seeking God, Rehoboam trusting a group of young guys that gave him really bad advice. We need to know God's Word, God's direction, and God's voice. To do that, we need to be spending intentional time with God. We need to make sure our inner circles of people include those who love God passionately and pursue His holiness with all their guts. We can trust God and He will give us the discernment we need if we are humbly willing to ask Him and faithfully trust His lead in and through all we face. He's the only One who has been in all of our tomorrow's and we can trust Him with every exhale.
