Description

In 2 Samuel 13, David's sin of adultery and murder is amplified through two of his sons. The sins we meddle with, allow, and accept in our lives are often embraced fully and often in excess by our children. Our actions always speak lower than our words. If we address sin, apologize, repent and turn to God for forgiveness and redemption from those sins - those actions are also seen and embraced. We have choices in our lives and our choices affect our loved ones. Amnon listens to the very bad counsel of his cousin Jonadab and chaos begins to unravel in David's dynasty. We need to know who to surround ourselves with and let into our inner circles - especially when seeking advice and direction. Regardless of the unraveling chaos around David, God is on the throne. God will bring forth His mission of forgiveness, redemption, and the saving grace we all desperately need in our lives. He does it all through Jesus. Jesus conquered sin and death and offers forgiveness and restoration to each of us. We all have choices and we can choose the miraculous, life-saving freedom found in Jesus.
