Description

In 2 Samuel 6, David wants to bring the Ark of God to Jerusalem. He has a heart after God's presence and wants God's Ark near as well. The problem rises when he goes about it the wrong way and doesn't follow God's instruction and how to move the Ark as well as who should move the Ark. Disobedience is sin and sin leads to death and a man does die due to this disobedience. God desperately wants to bless us. He is God and is not to be fooled with, used, or mocked. Our best next step is always submission and obedience to God. The Ark was to be carried on the shoulders of the Levites. Just like the Ark was to rest on the Levites shoulders, God's presence is to rest on us in our lives and we can in turn rest in Him. God's presence is in us when we choose Jesus as our Lord and Savior. His presence elevates us forward and into God's plan for our lives. God wants us to enjoy His presence in our lives. He wants us to recklessly abandon anything and anyone around us and worship with all our hearts unashamed and fully abandoned. More than anything, God wants to forgive us, pour His blessings out on us, lead us, guide us, commune with us, and have a raw and real relationship with us in every moment of our lives.
