In Amos 1, God sends another prophet to warn His people of what was coming if they refused to repent and turn to God. His opening warnings are for the surrounding nations who continually oppress, murder, and enslave the people around them - including God's children. Everyone would be accountable for their own sins and had the option to repent and turn to God. God sees and hears and knows all. Sin will be accounted for. If we choose to repent and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are free from sin and bound no longer. We are held safely in our Father's arms. We are soul-safe for all eternity.
