In Amos 2 & 3, God gives warning through Amos to Moab and then to Judah and Israel as well. God called again and again for people of all nations to repent and turn to Him. He gives us a lifeboat, but it's up to us to choose to step in. Instead of hearing, listening, and heeding God's call, they refuse. They love their sin and false idol worship more and continually rebel and turn away from God. They were exploiting the poor and killing the innocent. There is no awe of God, no fear of God, and no repentance. God sent us Jesus. He is our lifeboat. We can choose to turn away from evil and sin and jump into His boat and let Him lead us safely and securely for all eternity. We can choose to live in God's love, wisdom, and Spirit and live different and set apart from the sinful world around us. His great mercy and grace should humble us so much that all we want is to worship and serve Him with all our hearts as we continually fall more and more in love with our Lord and Savior - our Messiah.
