Description

In Amos 6, God brings warning to the indifferent, selfish people who choose comfort and gluttony over God. They live for selfish pleasures rather than the glory of God. God's people had become self-confident, falsely confident, and arrogant. God knows our hearts and sees what and who we love. Complacency is motivated by pride and based on lies. It leads to trusting everything and everyone else but God. God wants to pour out blessings in our lives so they can be used for His glory and the expansion of His Kingdom. Everything we have is from God and He should get credit for it all, and we should steward it all for His Kingdom's glory. True humility is thinking nothing of ourselves and everything about God. Our lives are to be about God and how we can better show the people around us who God is, how great His love is, and ultimately draw people to Him.
