Description

In Deuteronomy 3 & 4, Moses reminds God's people that God has given them the victory over their enemies. God has been the One fighting for them and leading them into victories. God has all power and all authority. The enemy might be ruling the earth for right now, but God has the final victory and He is fighting on our behalf. We don't have to be subject to the enemy - God wins. God has already conquered death when Jesus died on the cross for us. The power of sin and death in our lives was destroyed for all eternity. We have the power of God in us to fight and win over absolutely anything the enemy ever tries in our lives. Moses reflects on not being able to enter the Promised Land. The law doesn't get us to God, Jesus does. Like Moses, the law can only go so far. Jesus takes us all the way. Jesus takes us straight to God with no detours. We are told to remember - never forget - all that God has done, is doing, and has promised in our lives. We are warned to not have any false idols in our lives. We don't need a "god" we can see, we need the One true God, who hears us and speaks to us. Some false idols we deal with in today's time are the need of approval, power, control, and pleasures. God is patiently waiting for us to lay it all down, come to the end of our false idols, and surrender 100% to Him. He's waiting to be given permission to take the driver's seat. He wants to move in our lives today.
