Description

In Exodus 5 & 6, Moses talks with Pharaoh letting him know why he was there, Who sent him, and what the mission is - to bring God's people back to Him so they can once again worship Him. Pharaoh refuses to listen to Moses and instead makes the work harder by making totally impossible demands from the Israelites. Pharaoh is similar to Satan and sin and Egypt is like the world we live in. Sin does not let go of us easily and wants to keep our time and attention off God and worship. The Israelites become frustrated and Moses cries out to God. God answers with a reminder of Who He is, His promises and covenant to them, and lists 7 vows to them - seven is the number of completion. God says in His vows to Israel that He will free us, rescue us, redeem us, claim us as His own, He will be our God, will bring us to where He promised He would, and will give us our promised land. God brings redemption, relationship, and destination. God reminds Moses that He is for us and has absolutely no limitations.
