In Ezekiel 14, God has Ezekiel call out the leaders of Israel who are prophesying falsely, worshipping false idols, and embracing things that cause them to fall into sin. They are trying to "fake it till they make it", but you cannot fake it with God. You won't make it. God sees the heart. He's after our hearts. We need to be living how we talk each day. There's no time to "play" church. Anything we do for our own glory, instead of God's is an idol and needs to be checked at the cross. He reminds us that we cannot try to save anyone else by our own righteousness. Even Noah, Daniel, and Job couldn't have done that. Every person is responsible for their own choices, their own hearts, and their own repentance and sincere choosing of Jesus in their lives.
