In Ezekiel 22, God has Ezekiel deliver a message against Jerusalem to the leaders- princes, priests, prophets - as well as the people of the land. Judgment is here. God is going to destroy His city and the Temple. His people continue to choose and love sin and refuse to turn back to God, even as He waited and warned again and again so patiently - time has run out. Idolatry, injustice, and abuse of power is everywhere. They have forgotten and disregarded God and have become their own selfish gods instead. Everything they've gained through abuse and wickedness is about to come to an end as judgment arrives. God seeks out an intercessor to stand in the gap for the sinful but finds not a one. He extends His own arm and sends Jesus to intercede. He does it Himself. He offers us salvation. The only answer to our sin problem and the consequences of sin is Yahweh. Jesus. He sent us the Answer. He Himself became the Answer. We just have to choose Him and be saved for eternity.
