Description

In Ezekiel 29, God gives an oracle of warning to Ezekiel for Egypt. The Nile River was essential to their lives and they had made it like a god. Israel relied on Egypt instead of God for protection. God's people should have turned to God for protection, not Egypt, but Egypt should have also kept their word. Egypt was completely destroyed by the Babylonian army. God's desire is that everyone on earth knows that He alone is God. We don't seem to give God our attention with all the blessings He pours out, but His judgments seem to get our attention rather quickly. God again speaks of hope in the faithful remnant. Those who choose God and are held safe with Him for all eternity. We can choose to be that faithful remnant and put our trust completely in God, not in the things or people around us.
