In Ezekiel 33, we see all the things Ezekiel has warned God's people are happening. God's Word is true. It's not our responsibility to try to prove God wrong, that will fail every time. It's our responsibility to admit we are wrong, repent, and turn away from sin. Sin and wickedness will be dealt with, but we have an opportunity to choose to repent before the time runs out. True repentance is a turning from sin to God. It involves your mind, heart, and will. You change your mind leading to a change in your entire life. God cries out through Ezekiel for all to turn and repent. He takes no pleasure in losing a single person and he desperately longs for all to turn and repent and choose Life found only through Jesus. The leaders of God's people listened to Ezekiel but they didn't hear Ezekiel. They chose to treat him like entertainment rather than the prophet of God he was. They made a choice. We have a choice today too. We can choose to listen and hear God's voice or refuse Him. God cries out for each of us to choose Him, but it is our choice to make.
