Description

In Habakkuk 3, Habakkuk has heard God's Word, seen a glimpse of God's glory, and responds in earnest prayer, praise, and worship to the Lord. His circumstances haven't changed, but he has. Getting a glimpse of the glory of God will do that. He was now walking by faith in our amazingly faithful God rather than by sight. He knows God has a plan and wants God's will to come forth. God is in complete control. He is the Living God who makes dead idols look ridiculous. When Habakkuk looked within, he saw himself trembling in fear. When he looked around, he saw everything falling apart. When he looked up, he saw God and all his fears vanished. To walk by faith means we have laser focus on the greatness and glory of God. God doesn't always change our circumstances, but He can change us to meet the circumstances. We can stand firm in faith and praise God knowing He has us now and forever. No matter what I face, I will choose to praise the Lord and rejoice in Him.
