Description

In Isaiah 12-14, there is a song of praise in response to a message of hope. Oracles of judgment start being spoken against the nations who strike against Israel. Isaiah once again speaks into the now and the not yet. The Babylonians may strike, but it won't last forever. God's hand will move and Babylon will be taken down. Jesus will return and there will be final victory and Satan will be taken down. Satan was prideful and wanted to be like God. He wanted to ascend to the heavens and be set up on a throne. He wanted to sit on the mount of gods. He wanted to be like God - the Most High. God answers by casting him down to the lowest of lows where maggots and worms never die. God wins and while we are on earth, we get to choose who we will worship for all eternity. We get to choose between eternal life and eternal destruction. Satan works really hard to try to get people to turn away from God. There is a fight constantly going on for souls and God desperately calls and cries out to each of us to choose Him. He doesn't want to lose a single soul. Satan tries to say "I will" but God answers with "I AM".
