In Isaiah 44, God calls out the ignorance and foolishness of worshiping false gods and idols in our lives. God reminds us of who He is, that He created us, cares for us, and will be there with us through every step of everything we face, and that He is the only Rock - He is our Rock. We don't have to be afraid because God has us. He is our Redeemer. He speaks about a shepherd He will send to help the Israelites out of exile - a shepherd named Cyrus. Cyrus won't be born for almost 200 years but God knows His name and the plans He has for his life. He does show up and does exactly what God said He would do. He issued a decree to allow the Jewish people to return to Jerusalem and rebuilt it. If God says He has a plan, He means it and He'll do it. His Word is breathed out by Him for us and it is credible. Even if things aren't in place yet, God has a plan. We can trust Him. He created each of us and He has a plan for each of our lives as well. We are called to submit to Him, let Him lead us in His will, and let Him blow our minds and hearts out of the waters with what He does in our lives. God is amazing and wonderful and He desperately loves us for all eternity.
