In Isaiah 50 & 51, God shows how the promise of hope will be fulfilled. It is fulfilled on the cross. It is fulfilled when our Messiah didn't turn away from His call and purpose. It is fulfilled when our amazing God offered His back to those who beat Him and His cheeks to those who pulled out His beard. It is fulfilled when He set His face like a stone and determined that no matter what God's will is coming forth. And it did. And He did. And it still is. And He's returning. He asks the question - Who will you serve and fear? Will you serve yourself and fear feeble humans? Or will you serve the almighty, eternally invincible comforting and powerful one and only God and fear anything that may potentially separate you from Him. We need to make this choice each morning and every day so we can stand firm in our faith and not waiver for a single second of our lives.
