In Isaiah 52 & 53, God lets His people know freedom will come. Hope will come. Deliverance will come. Jesus does come. Jesus was crushed and took all our sin - all our stuff - so we could have life and live in eternity with Him. He died so we could be free from our past sins and run in freedom with God for all of our days. He says "rise from the dust" - don't stay there - get up and be free. He says "put on your beautiful clothes" - don't keep the tattered and worn out clothes on from exile. Put on your new clothes that God gives and be prepared for a new season, a new life, and a new freedom - celebrate! God redeemed us from our sins through Jesus free of charge. We do nothing to deserve it because He loves us that much. God desperately desires us to set ourselves aside and awaken from our sins and drunkenness. He says that is not you anymore. He says we are to cloth ourselves in His strength, His honor, and His dignity. He was crushed so we could be free and He tells us to wake up, walk in His freedom and tell everyone around you they can be free too. He ways to wake up and prepare the way, be ready, because He is returning.
