In Jeremiah 10 & 11, God gives Jeremiah another warning to God's people to turn and repent from their idolatry, worship of false gods and man-made material things, and their wickedness. Everything on earth is temporary and will not last other than the Word of God and the people we take with us our eternal home by spreading that Word to others. God is better than anything around us. There is no comparison. God desperately wants to pour out blessings, abundance, and a life of fullness only found in Him. It doesn't mean it will be an easy life, it means He's with us in it and helps carry the load. The Israelites had a choice to choose God and receive the blessing of possessing and enjoying the promised land or turn from and reject God resulting in curses and destruction. We have the same choice today. We can choose God and receive eternal life or reject God and face eternal destruction.
