In Joshua 16 - 18, the land God promised the Israelites continues to be divided among the remaining nations. God's fulfillment of His part in the covenant is coming to fulfillment. One of the tribes started complaining about not yet receiving their land. Joshua basically told them to stop complaining, get up, and go get God's promise for their lives. Faith is active. Blessings come through our active obedience to God and His direction. It takes work. Blessings aren't just going to be poured out while we sit lazily and wait. There's always something on our end of God's promise that He asks us to do. Something that shows we love Him, trust Him, and will obey His direction. Joshua tells them it's time to get out and start their lives. It's time to take possession of what God has given you - what God has promised. Get up and go get it. Perhaps there is also a blessing waiting for us. Perhaps there's something right around the corner that God is just waiting on us to get up and go get. Perhaps it's time to set aside anything holding us back and run after what God has for us with all our guts. Perhaps it is time.
