In Joshua 3 & 4, God raises Joshua up as a leader of the Israelites and God successfully leads them into their very first steps into their promised land. The Ark of the Covenant leads God's people. God is with them and goes before them, after them, and with them in every single step. God is with us in every step of our days the exact same way. God tells Joshua that the Israelites will know that God is with him as He raises Joshua up as their leader. People around us should be able to see and know that God is with us in our daily lives as well. Our character and integrity should reflect God's. We are His and He is ours and it should show. God splits the river so they can walk across the Jordan River on dry land. When they get across, God tells them to build a stone memorial so they have a reminder of everything God is doing for them. It's so important to remember all that God has done, is doing, and promises for us in our lives. God makes a powerful move by again splitting waters showing his mighty, powerful hand. He desperately wants His people to choose Him, to love Him, and to reverently fear Him. That same powerful arm of God loves us beyond comprehension and sends us mercy, kindness, forgiveness, and love to enjoy in every moment of our days. He just wants us to choose Him, love Him, and reverently fear Him in all of our days. We are not perfect and will make mistakes, but we are loved and forgiven by our amazingly powerful, almighty God if we are willing to choose Him.
