In Joshua 5 & 6, the generation coming into the promised land of God enter into their part of God's covenant with them. When they do, God rolled away the shame of their slavery. When we accept Jesus as our Savior and enter into His covenant, our shame is also rolled away. Whatever sins we've done or have been done to us is cleansed and cleared by the blood of Jesus. Any and all shame and guilt is also rolled away in that cleansing. We don't have to hang on to it. We can let it go. Jesus already took it for us. God's commander is ready to enter into battle on behalf of God's people. God fights the battle for His people and the walls surrounding the city crumble without a single person touching those walls. God's army tumbled the walls down for His people. God can easily give victory to those who trust in Him. God has already won against the enemy and we can claim that victory in our lives. We can trust God. We can trust His rescue. Faith can and will save you. It's a promise.
