In Lamentations 3, Jeremiah shifts as he calls to his mind the faithfulness, mercy, kindness, restoration, and healing hand of the Lord. This gives him hope. Hope is always found in the Lord. Instead of focusing on circumstances or misery, we can focus on God and His faithful strength and might. No matter what happens around us, God is still on the throne and His kindness, mercy, and grace follow us wherever we go. God reigns. Our circumstances and feelings change constantly, but God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We can keep our eyes, hearts, and minds set on our faithful God knowing He has us and will carry us through whatever we face.
