In Luke 12, Jesus encourages us to be ready, be awake, be aware, watch expectantly for Jesus because He is returning - sooner today than yesterday. Jesus became flesh so He could connect with us personally and we can connect to Him. We need to keep our lamps lit and oil full by spending time in the Word of God, in prayer, and in communion with Jesus. When we make Jesus a priority, our lives change for His glory and our eternal good. We fall more and more in love with Jesus as we become more and more desperate for Him, spreading His light and glory to the world around us as we do.
