The Gospel of Mark reveals the servanthood of Jesus. Jesus is God in human form and He came to earth fully human. He knew His mission and calling. In Mark 1, Jesus is baptizes, He calls His 1st disciples, He heals people and casts out demons, and He preaches and teaches to multitudes with authority. He is the Word, teaching the Word. The teachings they experienced came straight from the source. People were amazed by Jesus and we should live in awe and amazement of Him every single day of our lives today as well. He came. He died a suffering, crushing death on the cross, and He rose from that grave. He did it all out of a passionate love and compassion for us. He did it all just hoping we would look up instead of around and choose Life with Him for all eternity. He did it all just hoping we would choose to pursue Him with all our guts and every last exhale, heart and soul.
