In Matthew 11, Jesus and His apostles go into the mission field. They are on mission for King Jesus and work to spread the Good News of our Savior, Yeshua, to the cities in Israel. John the Baptist was in jail for not backing down in the mission of preparing the way for Jesus' arrival. John sent message to Jesus asking for confirmation that He is the One, our Messiah. He didn't doubt or have a lack of faith. It was just that the things he expected to come were not taking place when he expected it to. God is the only One who knows His perfect timing. Don't let expectations raise doubt within us. Jesus is returning and we don't know the day or the hour. If we did, every one of us would have that verse in the Bible memorized. The King is ready, He just needs the people of His Kingdom to be prepared and ready for His Kingship. Jesus longs for us to come to Him willing to receive all He has for us. He reveals Himself to those walking in humility and sincerely hungry for His truth. Jesus is returning, sooner today than yesterday and we are to live ever moment as if He is returning in the next 10 seconds. He is returning for a Bride prepared, a Bride who desires to know Him more personally and experience more of His presence, a Bride who wants to know His Word, a Bride who is continually falling more and more in love with Him with every last exhale.
