In Matthew 26, Jesus prepares His disciples for His coming crucifixion. He assures them He will return and they will be a part of His Father's Kingdom. Mary pours out an expensive jar of perfumed oil in worship to Jesus and in preparation for His coming death. Mary was found at Jesus' feet listing to Him teach, in grief over the loss of her brother, and now she worshiped at His feet in her brokenness. Jesus prepares Himself for the coming crucifixion as well. He prayed. He was 100% human as well as 100% God and He would feel every lash. Worse yet, He will endure the wrath of God against all sin throughout the entire world. A weight that caused His human body to sweat blood before any officer ever laid a hand on Him. So, He prayed. We need to pray continually. We need to pray for each other. We need to pray to resist temptations. We need to pray that our will lines up to God's and we obey and follow Him, heart and soul. We need to pray that we all radically break out for Jesus and spread the news of His salvation to the world around us. We all need Jesus and we need to pray for passionate revival to break out like never before.
