In Nehemiah 4, the enemy steps in to try to stop God's plan - God's mission. He has since day 1 and he will not quit. When God is moving and you are stepping faithfully forward in Him, expect opposition - be ready for it. Just as Nehemiah and the builders never took their clothes off and never took their swords off, we too are to keep the Armor of God on at all times. Nehemiah didn't argue, rebuke, or even answer the opposition that came. He didn't give it any of his time or energy. He simply prayed. Every time. He prayed. He was in constant prayer with the Lord and knew the Lord was the fighting the battle. The battle belonged to God and he faithfully trusted God in the battle and did not waiver in his faith, his work, his leadership, or the mission God placed on his heart to complete. He prayed and got back to work and prayed some more. The enemy wants to distract and derail us. We have to make an intentionally decision to say no, not today. Pray and trust God is handling it and faithfully stay on mission for God and His great glory.
