Description

In Numbers 5 & 6, purity is addressed. God is pure and holy so the camp needs to remain pure and holy so God is able to remain with His people as they travel. A jealousy offering is discussed if adultery is suspected in a marriage. God knows our hidden secrets and our hearts and holds us accountable for our actions and choices. Jesus cleanses us so we are fully forgiven and free to remain with God in spite of our sins. Jesus makes us whole and pure. That doesn't mean we won't have to face earthly consequences for the choices we make this side of Heaven. The Nazirite Law is explained. People could choose to make a vow to live completely devoted to God. They could chose to separate themselves from the world for a time. To do this they were not to even eat or drink anything from a grapevine. There was no room left for blurred lines in this strict vow. They were to never cut their hair or go near a dead body. The world is dying and if they choose to take this vow for a season, they would need to stay clear of it until the vowed time is up.
