Description

Psalms 117, 118, and 119, include the shortest Psalm, the mid-point of the entire Bible, and the longest Psalm. The psalmist cries out for all the people of the earth to worship and praise the Lord, depend on His love and rest calmly in His faithfulness. As the middle verses of the Bible declare, "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people." Give thanks and praise to the Lord through everything and glorify Him for His great victory. Trust in Him for every outcome to every circumstance we face. Delight in His Word. God's Word is power. Jesus is the Living Word of God and He is power. He gave us His Word to consume and live out in our daily lives. His Word cleanses us, makes us whole, shows us God's character, and salvation. His Word gives us hope, confidence in Him, and reverence for who He is. His Word is reliable, just, eternal, and righteous. His Word is the only true Truth there is. God's Word keeps us clean, gives us joy, guides us through this temporary life on earth, and establishes our values. It helps us to pray effectively and lines our wills up to His. It encourages us, strengthens us, and breathes new Life into us like nothing else can.
