Description

In Psalm 3, 4, & 5, David cries out honestly before God. He is wholeheartedly devoted to God, glorifies God in all things, and trusts God's character. He admits his struggles and troubles honestly, trusts in God completely, and knows God is on the throne and will handle everything perfectly. No matter what circumstances he faces or how bad they look, He trusts God through it all. He was in constant communication and prayer with God. He loved God with all His guts and passionately pursued Him above all. God doesn't want a bunch of people pretending to love Him, He wants our hearts honestly, sincerely, humbly and wholeheartedly devoted to Him in deepest awe of who He is. He wants us to look to Him and trust Him no matter what we face. In all we do and say, we praise the Lord, worship Him, trust Him, and seek Him more and more. As we do, we fall more and more in love with Him and there's nothing He wants more. As David says so beautifully, "But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread Your protection over them, that all who love Your Name may be filled with joy. For You bless the godly, O Lord; You surround them with Your shield of love."
