In Psalm 52-55, David is facing some real, life-threatening, and heartbreaking struggles and circumstances. He is feeling betrayed and surrounded by evil. He really wanted to just fly away and get away from it all. Have you ever been there? I for sure have. Instead of running, David turned to the Lord. He examined his feelings honestly and openly. He felt them. And then he gave them all to the Lord just as honestly and openly. God gives us our emotions so we can give them back to Him. God turns our fears into faith, our despair into hope, and our confusion into clarity. David wasn't in denial of anything going on around him. He just chose to look at it all through the lens of God's eye, gave everything over to God, and wholeheartedly trusted God with the outcome. David prayed all day long. He had a relationship with God. God wants that for each and every one of us. He wants us to talk to Him and listen to Him. He wants a relationship. He loves us beyond comprehension and wants us to fall more and more in love with Him every day of our lives as well.
