Description

In Psalm 59, 60, & 61, David's enemies are closing in and the nation is vulnerable as well. He sees everything going on around him, but still chooses to look up faithfully to God - the One on the Throne. He trusts God's provision, strength, delivering hand, shield of protection, comfort, mercy, and unfailing love. He sings praises and worships God in gratitude for the victory - even when the victory hasn't come quite yet. He knows God is faithful and stands firm in his faith in God. He gives everything in him to God - heart and soul - and pours his guts out to the Lord. Then he faithfully worships and praises God trusting Him with the outcome. His confidence is in the Lord and he lives every moment of his life to glorify His great Name. He was a real life human being just like all of us, facing real life battles. He left us an amazing example of how to live our lives in Jesus and how to walk in active faith with every exhale.
