In Psalm 62, 63, & 64, David is again facing real life-threatening challenges. He was the lineage that our Messiah would come from and Satan made every attempt possible to take David out. God wins. God is the victory holder. His plan is faithful and He holds all power. In every challenge David faced, he trusted God. He rested in God - even while fleeing for his life from place to place through the wilderness. His refuge and trust was wholly and completely in the Lord. He spent intentional time with God, prayed constantly, and enjoyed basking in God's presence every day. The world around him, Satan, and his own flesh were against him, but his focus remained on God and God alone. He couldn't be shaken because the foundation of his entire being was on God and God held him securely. It was through the discipline of David's life of intentionally seeking God and building a true, deep, sincere relationship with Him that David saw victory. His only desire was God and worshiping and praising Him no matter what the world around him looked like. As we fall more and more in love with God, and worship Him heart and soul, we find satisfaction in Him through everything we face. Our only desire is God and, therefore, we can no longer be shaken by anything.
