In Zechariah 2, God brings a message of the coming glory of God that will fill the earth when Jesus returns. God's desires has always been that we would know Him, experience Him, and dwell with Him. He sent Jesus to shed His Life-Blood on the cross so we could be restored for eternity with Him. He wants that relationship to start now, today, while on earth. He wants sincere hearts pursuing Him in and through all we do. He wants us to radiate Him to others through our lives so they to can know Him, experience Him, and dwell with Him. Jesus is returning and judgment on nations will fall. Those who refuse God, refuse to repent, and refuse to turn from sin and choose God will experience the wrath of His fire. If we choose Jesus, the fire will only refine us as we enter into His glory for eternity. The glorious newly restored city is referred to as "Jehovah Shammah" in Ezekiel which means "the Lord is there". Many of us who choose Jesus now will be joined with Israel in the eternal coming glorious Kingdom of God. Our Messiah will be there right with us and we will experience Him like never before and our eternal Prince of Peace will reign in all His glory.
