In Zechariah 5, God gives Zechariah two visions. The first vision is of a flying scroll representing the 10 Commandments. The law was never given to save people, it was given to reveal our desperate need for our Savior - Jesus. The 2nd vision is of a woman in a basket representing the wickedness of commercialism and material wealth. Money has become a god around the world and, like a god, money is trusted by people to give them help, solve their problems, provide happiness, and empower them to accomplish goals set in life. The world will crush you, devastate you, and let you down, but God never fails us. Everything on earth will fade and decay, but God is eternal. When we trust God above all, He brings eternal blessings. Money is not God. It's only in God we will find true help, the wisdom and resources needed to overcome problems, true joy and happiness that can only come from Him, and the ability to succeed in goals set out by Him for our lives which brings true accomplishment. This world is extremely temporary but God is eternal and He desires each and every one of us to trust in Him for all eternity with all our guts.
