On October 12, 2011, after trying to get help from California CPS regarding the abuse his 7-year-old son was suffering at the hands of his ex-wife, Scott Dekraai snapped. Believing he was the only one who could protect his son, he took the law into his own hands and what resulted was the deadliest mass shooting in Orange County California. After being sentenced to Life Without Parole, Scott decided he needed to give back. Give back to society by mentoring other inmates so they don't continue to make the wrong choices that keep landing them in prison.
