Description

In this episode Tay discusses the horrific 26 year human trafficking epidemic in Tennessee in the 1920's to 1950's due to one horrific mastermind Georgia Tann. Tann at the time she was committing these crimes was running a state run orphanage and touring the country encouraging wealthy people to "adopt" children from her. However, these children were stolen and kidnapped from poor families to be used for a for profit scam where her and a network of politicians, lawyers, police officers, nurses, doctors, social workers, and a judge made millions off of trafficking over 5,000 children.
