On May 6, 2021, local Rick Muma was selected to serve as the 15th president of Wichita State University. Rick has a Ph.D. in higher education administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science in physician assistant studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston. He also holds a Master of Public Health in Community Health from the same institution. Muma has also held positions as an assistant professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch-Department Galveston's of PA Studies and chair of the Department of Physician Assistant Education at Saint Louis University. Rick has more than 30 years of expertise in internal medicine and infectious diseases as a professor, manager, and physician assistant. Rick, welcome to the podcast!
